Camellia Oil: Camellia oil is the most penetrative of all oils. It is composed mostly of oleic acid (82%). It is therefore very compatible with the skin as oleic acid is the main fatty acid in human skin lipids and is the main fatty acid produced by our own sebaceous or oil glands. That means that the composition of Camellia oil is very similar to the fatty acids in human skin. Camellia oil moisturizes penetrating deeply giving the skin hydration without feeling greasy. Camellia oil also increases the resilience of the skin making the skin supple and makes the skin silky and with a radiant luminosity. This oil visibly diminishes fine lines, helps with scarring.
Rosa Mosqueta Oil (Rosehip Seed Oil): Rosehip seed oil is also a very penetrative oil making it a superb moisturizer. It supports the keratin migration cycle that is responsible for the natural regeneration of cells. Studies have shown Rosehip seed oil to have a positive effect on scarring. This oil helps to reduce the red or dark discoloration and helps in the regeneration of scar tissue.
Borage Seed Oil: Borage seed oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the Borago Officinalis a wildflower also called the starflower. It is a rich source of GLA (gamma-linoleic acid). Sea Buckthorne Oil (Hippophae Rhamnoides): Sea Buckthorne oil is native to the Himalayas and Siberia. The oil is obtained from the yellow berries that grow on this spiny shrub or tree. Traditionally used for its nourishing, revitalizing and restorative action on the skin and mucous membranes. The oil extract is used to promote healing of heat burns, radiation burns, poorly healing wounds, skin ulcers, eczema, bedsores and sunburns. Natural antioxidants and EFA’s (essential fatty acids) help reverse the damaging effects of sun exposure, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation (dark spots), and skin inflamation. It aids in the healing of wounds and restoring skin tissue. This oil is very high in betacarotene and is a deep reddish orange and can color the skin giving a bronzing effect.
